Sailor’s Hocoro pen combines the smooth nib of a fountain pen with the ease and simplicity of a dip pen, making it easy to switch colors while you’re writing or drawing. Like a traditional dip pen, you just dip the Hocoro pen in ink to write. But unlike a traditional dip pen, it’s designed to write with fountain pen inks, not just thick calligraphy inks. The nib is stiff (unlike flexible calligraphy nibs) and made of rust-proof stainless steel. It’s great for testing out new ink colors and changing colors frequently: all you have to do is clean the nib with water and wipe it dry.
The nib can be inverted in the body of the pen for storage so it’s protected when you travel, and the pen is lightweight and easy to carry with you. You can also exchange the nib for different sizes and even add a special nib reservoir for greater ink capacity, so you don’t have to dip as often.
